Mark your calendars now for Walker County Shred Day on Saturday, September 14th at the Walker County Annex from 8am to 12 noon. If you’re concerned about identity theft and have no way to get rid of sensitive paperwork, this can take care of it. This shredding event is for citizens only – commercial and business documents will not be accepted. There is a limit of 5 boxes of paper per vehicle, and this event is perfect to get rid of paper documents, bank statements, credit card bills, medical records, and other type of documents you would want to have destroyed. For more information or questions, call Monday-Thursday at (936) 295-7984.
