UK Fan Finds Rare Led Zeppelin Recording
An unsuspecting Led Zeppelin fan made an astonishing discovery at a recent car boot sale in the UK, when he unearthed a live recording of the band's 1971 show at St. Matthews Baths Hall.
According to Classic Rock magazine, Vic Kemp found a CD of the gig in the car's boot (or trunk, for us Yankees), and realized that it was the legendary rock band's famed concert. The St. Matthews Baths Hall was actually a converted swimming pool in Ipswitch.
The acclaimed show was previously thought to never have been recorded, but the amazing find allegedly disproves that theory.
Still unanswered, however, is how a concert from 1971 ended up on a compact disc, which weren't invented until 1982. If the bootleg is in fact legit, that means there should be source material hiding elsewhere.
