SAM HOUSTON STATE LET FLY A 3-POINTER IN THE FINAL SECONDS LAST NIGHT, FORCING OVERTIME, AND EVENTUALLY BEATING LAMAR 80-75.  THE SAM HOUSTON STATE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM BEAT LAMAR LAST NIGHT FOR A 68-47 WIN TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN THE SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE.  NEXT UP FOR SAM HOUSTON STATE BASKETBALL IS A ROAD GAME AGAINST HOUSTON BAPTIST THIS SATURDAY.  THE WOMEN PLAY AT 2:00, AND THE MEN PLAY AT 7:00, WITH THE BEARKAT PREGAME SHOW ON 101.7 KSAM BEGINNING AT 6:45.
