IN THE F-C-S PLAYOFFS, NICHOLLS DEFEATED NORTH DAKOTA, 24-6.  THE COLONELS NOW TRAVEL TO THE FARGO DOME TO PLAY NORTH DAKOTA STATE.  SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA EDGED VILLANOVA, 45-44, TO MOVE ON TO PLAY MONTANA, AND AFTER THE BYE WEEKEND, CENTRAL ARKANSAS WILL HOST ILLINOIS STATE.

ON SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, HOUSTON’S DESHAUN WATSON THREW THREE TOUCHDOWN PASSES AND HAD THE FIRST TD RECEPTION OF HIS CAREER, AS THE TEXANS BEAT THE PATRIOTS 28-22 AT N-R-G STADIUM.  THE TEXANS SIT ATOP THE A-F-C SOUTH AT 8-5.  TONIGHT, IT’S THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS AND THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS.

IN THE N-B-A OVER THE WEEKEND, JAMES HARDEN SCORED A SEASON-HIGH 60 POINTS IN 31 MINUTES AS THE HOUSTON ROCKETS SENT THE STRUGGLING ATLANTA HAWKS TO THEIR 10TH STRAIGHT LOSS WITH A 158-111 ROMP.  LAST  NIGHT, THE DALLAS MAVERICKS WERE 114-100 WINNERS OVER THE LAKERS, AND DETROIT BEAT THE SPURS, 132-98.  ALL THREE TEXAS TEAMS HAVE THE DAY OFF. TOMORROW, THE ROCKETS AND SPURS WILL MEET UP IN THE ALAMO CITY AND THE MAVERICKS WILL TRAVEL TO THE BIG EASY.
