TWO WILLIS POLICE OFFICERS SENTENCED TO ONE YEAR IN JAIL

The Courier reports that two former police officers for the Willis Police Department have been convicted of tampering with a governmental record.

The story says the two officers, Kenneth Elmore and John McCaffery, wrongfully arrested Kedric Kizzie in July of 2017 following a “drive-by tasing” of him. The two officers were sentenced to a year in jail.

The officers were given a week to report to the Montgomery County Jail.
