WILLIS COUNCILMEMBER CHARGED WITH TAMPERING WITH A GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT

According to a story in the Courier newspaper, 49-year-old Tamara Young-Hector, a Willis city councilmember, is looking a charges of tampering with a government document after she allegedly applied for a protective order in the name of another person.

Young-Hector has been on the Willis City Council since 2009. Following a warrant being issued for her arrest, she turned herself into the Walker County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.

Also according to the story, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported in a press release that the woman was recorded on a surveillance video system going into the Montgomery County District Clerk’s office on May 21st.
